Moving to France...

For many years I wanted to move down south, enjoy more sunshine and enjoy a more relaxed way of living. Spain was a number one goal but through the years and suffering from the crisis, there's nothing much to do around there. Lots of real estate, especially in the coastal areas are sitting empty. Yes you can buy very cheap but what the heck, sitting in a concrete desert all day?

Since I have quite a lot of friends in France and somewhere along history I have French ancestors, I figured that the second choice would be the best choice. After all, people are soooo much friendlier, warm and sociable in France. If you can relate to the French 'savor vivre' (literally 'know how to live') which includes enjoying good food, wine, taking time for important things (especially enjoying good food and wine...) and share with family and friends, life is good in France. No rushing, no hurrying... On the flip side though, whenever you need anything official or have to deal with paperwork, it takes FOREVER! No kidding.

Anyway, life IS great an wonderful here and I'm enjoying it to the fullest.
